Command-line interaction with SQL Server
This is a topic unfortunately forgotten many times, however, if you're working with many SQL Server instances, or just need to do things in a reproducible and safe way, CLI is your best friend. And there are more tools than Transact-SQL. The armory being presented: command prompt (the good old one), sqlcmd, PowerShell and the SQL Server providers delivered with it. Ok, T-SQL will be _mentioned_. The goal is to pack your bag with tools you can use anytime, anywhere and you know what they're doing.

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Data warehouse tips & tricks

Korištenjem alata Reflector danas i prosječni programeri mogu relativno jedostavno doći do koda Vaše aplikacije. Dođite i zajedno ćemo proći kroz praktične primjere zaštite, probijanja i modificiranja Vašeg koda.

For a long time we are witnessing that waterfall projects are falling apart most of the time and that switch toward agile methodologies is necessary in order to raise team productivity and improve software development predictability. In the same time it is also very common for team to keeps old (bad) habits after switch to Scrum. In this chalk ‘n’ talk session we will talk about the techniques you can use to recognize and remove all appearances of waterfall driven behavior from your project – spanning from programming/testing practice and project management to the release roll-out to the production environment.

Do you think this is secure enough?
Do you have a BitLocker or TrueCrypt? If you do, do you think your data is really secure? If not, do you want to learn how to use it in a secure manner? If you do, come to this lecture where I will show you how to crack it. Do you know what is SSL strip? Do you use HTTPS protocol over unsecured network connections thinking you are secure and relaying on certificate trust to stay secure? If you do, come to this lecture and learn how easy it is to „magically“ change HTTPS to HTTP without user knowledge. Are you a developer? Do you play games developed in flash or Silverlight? Do you use Web 2.0 with tons of client side code? Do you want to learn where and why this is insecure? If you do, come to this lecture and see how easy may be to break into web application with client side logic implemented. This lecture will be demo based with as little slides as possible.

CPU i procesiranje upita

SQL Server transaction log and recovery
The transaction log file is the single most important file in our database. Why is it so, why is the transaction log so important? What are these transaction anyway, and how SQL Server handles transactions? And why is it important to be able to recover/redo/undo some transactions? Why "single"? Oh, and thanks for reminding me -- why does my ldf file keep growing and growing and growing and..? :) And what if something really, really bad happens to your data, what shall you do, repair or restore? Repair usually means some data loss, so restore seems like a better option, isn't it? Is it? Of course, we need to have our backup strategy right in order to restore up to a point of failure. We'll try to answer all of these questions and some more in this session. We expect you to leave this session with solid understanding of the importance of transaction log file and the importance of choosing a correct recovery model and implementing a solid backup strategy. We'll show some of the most common problems with database and how to deal with them. This session is aimed towards professional DBAs, and towards developers who want to know more.

Quality - what is it?
One of the main constraints (besides time and money) of every project is Quality. WHY? Do we know what Quality means? How can we establish quality requirements for a project and how can we measure them?
This lecture will explain (through discussion) critical success factors for effective Quality management.
Speaker: Nenad Trajkovski
Psyhological types in project lifecicles
Lecture is attempts to build connection between Myers Briggs personality types (typology) and parts of project life cycle (according to PMI methodology).
There are not so much materials about connections between psychological types and project management request in each project phase. As we know, 70% of project management duties are communication between people, we expect that personal dimension as introversion, thinking, intuition, judgment against extraversion, sensing, feeling or perceiving could be crucial for project succeed or failure. As additional dimension to this network, each project phase, form initiation to closing, is seeking for different psychological type (and its dominate skills).
Lecture will bring out basic dimension of Myers Briggs typology, tools for speed and rough estimation of you own personal type, and web of connections between types and Project phases.
Speaker: Ivan Matejašić
Why I hate functional specifications and project managers?
Functional specifications as the base document in the technical documentation of every IT project is often ignored or improperly used. The lectures will explain how the functional specification can be used as a tool to restore the project in its planned course, and how to change the scope of the project without losing quality. But at the very beginning of the presentation we will see which itself contains a functional specification and how we can create.
Functional specification is basic, but critical tool in any development process because of her Multifunctionality. And who, after such a sentence did not want to harm the Project Manager ;)?
